A qualified mechanical engineer from (now IIT) Roorkee. Winner of a Scholarship for studying the Italian langauge at Perugia, Italy. Selected for an UNCTAD-GATT fellowship course in International Marketing at the Italian Institute of Foreign Trade, Rome. A Founder-Member of the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Northern India). Awarded the Title of Cavaliere (meaning Knight) by the President of Italy.
